FAQ

Questions organisers ask

Which payment methods can my attendees use?

M-Pesa, MTN MoMo and Airtel Money, bank transfer and USSD, and cards through Paystack, Flutterwave and Stripe. The options shown at checkout depend on the currency and on which providers are switched on.

When does someone get their ticket?

As soon as the payment provider confirms the payment. The ticket, with its QR code, appears on screen and arrives by email. Free tickets are issued straight away.

Can ticket sales raise money for a cause?

Yes. Link your event to one of your causes and choose a percentage of every ticket to go to it, like 10% to a building fund. Buyers can also add their own gift at checkout, and both count towards the cause's goal.

Can I record cash and Paybill gifts?

Yes. Record cash, bank transfer, M-Pesa Paybill, mobile money or cheque gifts from your dashboard. They count towards the cause's total, and the page shows how much was given offline.

Can I run free events?

Yes. Free tickets skip the payment step entirely, and you still get a guest list and QR check-in.

How does check-in work on the day?

Open the check-in scanner from your dashboard on any phone and point it at a ticket. It warns you about tickets that were already scanned, and you can type a code if a screen is cracked or dim.

Can supporters give every month?

Yes, with providers that support subscriptions (Paystack, Flutterwave and Stripe). M-Pesa gifts are one-off.

Can other people fundraise for my cause?

Yes. Supporters can start their own fundraiser page for your campaign on Yenko, and every gift counts towards your goal.

Which currencies are supported?

13 currencies: NGN, KES, GHS, ZAR, UGX, TZS, RWF, EGP, XOF, XAF, USD, EUR, GBP. Visitors can also view prices converted into their own currency.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Export orders, donations and attendee lists as CSV files at any time.
